Private Jet Hangar - Hangar for 3 aircraft

This new private jet hangar was designed to accommodate a Boeing Business Jet, a Global Express and a Bell 430 helicopter. The hangar encompasses an area of thirty three thousand square feet (33,000 ft2). The hangar door creates an opening forty-five feet (45'-0") high and one hundred and thirty eight feet (138'-0") wide. A continuous band of clerestory windows, twelve feet (12'-0") high, floods the interior with natural light. All interior surfaces in the hangar are painted a brilliant white.

The presence of such large aircraft creates a high risk of conflagration. To avoid a possible catastrophe, there is a three hundred and fifty thousand-gallon (350,000-gal) reservoir under the hangar floor slab. This reservoir will feed the deluge sprinkler system in the event of a fire.

The office component has five thousand square feet (5,000 ft2) of usable area on two floors. There are offices, a conference room, a flight planning area, kitchen, washrooms, and a double height, fully glazed, reception atrium. The reception area is protected with louvered sunshades, creating a comfortable waiting area for travellers with spectacular views of the runways.
