Beechmore Inn - Restaurant and condominium proposal
The 6000 square foot Beechmore Inn occupies a nineteenth century Neo-Gothic mansion in Richmond, Quebec.
The renovation program included new guestrooms, washrooms, kitchen facilities and conference rooms. All facilities had to be introduced within the restored envelope of the existing mansion.
The new guest accommodations and conversion to a public building required upgrades for conformance with the National Building Code. Kitchen facilities were converted to satisfy commercial requirements and the dining area expanded.
The challenge was to balance the modern amenities of a small hotel while preserving a historic building, all without losing the warmth and charm of a country Bed & Breakfast.
