In 1993, Todd Richards was project architect for a new bus terminal serving the existing Henri-Bourassa metro station. The Société de transport de la Communauté Urbaine de Montréal required that the project contain the following criteria:

· An underground crossing for pedestrians
· Bus parking and turn-about, kiss-and-ride drop-off area
· Covered walkways for bus access
· Heated waiting areas
· A high transparency inclined glazed wall facing Henri-Bourassa
· Cafés, boutiques and rest areas
